RIP: 10-year-old MMORPG Skyforge officially sunsetted this morning

Back in July, we first learned that Skyforge was on the chopping block after a solid 10-year run, some weird corporate shuffling, and a feast of end-of-life events. The sunset officially went off this morning at 5 a.m. EDT, and you likely weren’t even awake to give it a send off.

If you scope out YouTube, you’ll see more than a few “final moments” videos, many of them in Russian. They’re worth a look if you just want to feel awful about watching the servers go dark for the last time.

MOP’s Chris streamed a bit of the game last week as we did our own final farewell.

There’s one tiny silver lining here: The console versions of the game aren’t fully gone yet. They’re staying online until October 29th. So technically, you can still go hang out there for another couple of months.

Farewell, Skyforge.
